SFMG Wealth Advisors is pleased to announce the appointment of Shashin G. Shah, CFA, CFP®, as Managing Director and Principal. Shashin joined SFMG in 2016 and along with his 25 years of experience, he continues to bring leadership, vision, and stewardship to his clients and the firm. As Managing Director, Shashin will continue his responsibilities on the investment committee of SFMG as well as serving his clients.
Shashin joined SFMG in 2016 after successfully building SGS Wealth Management for 10 years. He provides advanced wealth planning services to corporate executives and business owners. Shashin has been interviewed and quoted by leading financial publications including Money Magazine, Business Week, Smart Money, Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, Dallas Morning News, and USA Today. He has also appeared on NBC Nightly News. He has been named to D Magazine’s Best Planners list consecutively since 2006. In 2007, Shashin was awarded the FPA Honors Award for commitment to Financial Planning. In 2011, Shashin was awarded the FPA Chairman’s Award for dedication to the profession. In 2012, Shashin was a nominee for the FPA’s highest honor – The Heart of Financial Planning Award. Shashin is a three-time board member for the Dallas Fort Worth Financial Planning Association, a current CFP Board Ambassador, a subject matter expert for the Investment Manager Consultants Association (IMCA), and a subject matter expert for Wiley publications. Shashin’s past community involvement includes sitting on the Board of Trustees for The Children’s Center in Dallas, the Site Based Decision Making committee for Mata Montessori, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Texas Stampede. He, his wife Mary, and his three boys reside in Dallas, Texas.
