Meet Tyler Tenney

Tyler joined SFMG as a Wealth Advisor in April 2026. He spent the majority of his career at a respected financial firm as part of a wealth planning team focused on financial planning for the firm’s partners, where he worked on hundreds of plans with an emphasis on retirement planning, survivor sufficiency analysis, and more complex strategies tied to the nuances of partnership structures.

As a CFP® professional, he genuinely enjoys the technical side of planning alongside the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. His favorite part about SFMG is that everyone truly cares about the clients they serve and the long-term relationships built along the way.

Outside of work, he and his wife, Kylie, met in Utah, where they spent much of their time skiing and hiking together. While they miss being close to the mountains, they have enjoyed being back in Rockwall, Texas, near family and the community where he grew up. They also recently welcomed their first child, an exciting and busy new chapter for the family.

When he has free time, he enjoys staying active through pickleball, golf, and basketball, though he’ll be the first to admit his golf game is a work in progress. Otherwise, he makes the most of his time with family and friends.
