Meet Ryan J. Blair
Wanting to be the trusted advisor his family didn’t have.
Ryan grew up the son of an airline mechanic. His parents thought ahead and saved appropriately for his college education, but thanks to some “less-than-ideal” advice, those funds only lasted a portion of his time in college. Originally an architecture/design major, his interest in seeing “what went wrong” for his parents led to his interest in changing majors. He didn’t even know Texas Tech had a financial planning program, but once he did, he transferred right away.
HOW CAN I HELP? Even if it’s not through our direct services, Ryan always uses the lens of “How can I help?” when he meets with clients. A college internship with a firm in Detroit showed him that companies may not always be “doing the right things for the right reason for their clients.” That’s why our approach of putting clients first is so important to him.
CLIENTS FOR THE LONG HAUL Ryan especially enjoys working with clients who are also planning for the future with families in mind. He and his wife Shanna have two daughters in elementary school in Prosper. He loves the idea of working with families over his career as they’re going through the same life stages as his family. If they love Texas Tech sports – all of them – as much as Ryan and Shanna do, that’s even better!
